Boston Architectural College, BAC, located in the heart of Boston on Newbury Street, is New England’s largest private college of spatial design. BAC is an independent college offering both accredited graduate and undergraduate degrees.
Overview
BAC was facing challenges with virtualizing their aging Equallogic storage infrastructure. BAC was interested in replacing their traditional 3-2-1 server, networking, and storage stack, which was not originally designed for virtualization. Additionally, BAC needed to virtualize its primary database server.
Solution and Outcome
As their trusted IT advisor, Winslow Technology Group partnered with BAC to explore a hyper-converged solution to replace the existing infrastructure. WTG recommended a 3-node all-flash Dell VxRail cluster. BAC selected WTG’s Professional Services team to perform the implementation, as they needed to perform the VM migrations with zero downtime.
