Anthropic recently introduced a Frontier AI model (Claude Mythos) that can find software flaws better than almost any human expert. Testing uncovered a 27-year-old vulnerability in one of the most hardened systems on the planet. Engineers with no security background simply woke up to working exploits they’d asked for the night before. This same capability is expected to reach attackers within 6 to 12 months. Winslow Technology Group’s (WTG) SVP of Security & Services Matt Kozloski recorded a briefing on what this is, what this means, and pragmatic actions regarding what you can do now, covering:
- Why “find the bug”, “fix the problem”, and long-term durable resilience are three very different things (however related)
- Actions that move the needle (hint: it starts with knowing what you run)
- Guidance and suggestions to adapt your cyber resilience in this new “scaled-up” vulnerability world
It’s a quick watch (under 30 minutes) and worth your time; take a look below or here at our WTG YouTube page. As always, we’re happy to talk through any of it and tailor solutions to meet your cyber resilience and risk management needs.
