Vision Statement
The Winslow Diversity and Outreach Team seeks to create opportunities within WTG for everyone without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. We are committed to developing a culture that is welcoming of diversity and inclusive to all individuals where everyone is treated with fairness and respect. Our goal is to establish ourselves as a resource for all and help to create a culture that is renowned for diversity, equality, and community engagement. Lastly, our vision includes transforming the workforce to encourage, inspire, and learn by obtaining and leveraging the talents of our diverse environment.
Charity of the Quarter Initiative
All of our featured charities are nominated by WTG employees and are included in our donation matching program. Winslow Technology Group is honored by the opportunity to give back to our community.
July, August, & September 2025
Our focus charity for this quarter is Pebble Promise. Founded in 2024, Pebble Promise Foundation, Inc. is committed to be a force for positive change. They believe in the transformative power of investing in the well-being and development of children, recognizing that their individual growth helps build stronger communities overall. The path to success is built by laying one stone or pebble at a time!
April, May, and June 2025
Our focus charity for Q2 is Thompson, a human services leader transforming lives through prevention, mental health services, and foster care. As a solutions-driven organization committed to rewriting narratives for the most vulnerable in their community; Thompson achieves this by providing comprehensive, evidence-based services, and trauma-informed care, for children (ages 0-18) and their families, virtually and in-person.
January, February, and March 2025
Our focus charity for this quarter is The Dennis “DJ” Simmonds ’08 Memorial Scholarship Fund which was established to honor the memory of the late Dennis “DJ” Simmonds, Class of 2008. All proceeds will support scholarships for current Lasell College students.
A courageous member of the Boston Police Department, DJ was one of the officers involved in the Watertown shootout after the 2013 Boston Marathon, where he was injured. He passed away a year later.
DJ was a highly decorated police officer and was awarded a Top Cop award in Washington, DC, the Schroeder Brothers Memorial Medal as well as many commendations for his work with gang activity.
“It’s about keeping his memory alive,” DJ’s sister Nicole Simmonds said. In his memory, this fund can continue his vision and commitment to the Boston community.
